Avamys nasal spray is used to treat the symptoms of hay fever (allergic rhinitis), including a runny or stuffy nose, sneezing, and irritated eyes. It belongs to a type of medicine called glucocorticoids.

Avamys nasal spray works by helping to reduce inflammation that is caused by hay fever. It belongs to the group of medicines called glucocorticoids – a type of steroid medication that can be used to help ease hay fever symptoms.

How should Avamys nasal spray be taken?

Avamys nasal spray should be used once a day at the same time. For children aged 6-11, use 1 spray in each nostril once a day. For adults and children over the age of 12, use 2 sprays in each nostril once a day. Some people may not feel the full effect for a few days after first using Avamys nasal spray, however, you will usually find the spray is effective within 8-24 hours.

Is Avamys nasal spray suitable for me? 

Avamys nasal spray is suitable for use in those over the age of 6 who are suffering from hay fever. Do not take Avamys if you are allergic to fluticasone furoate or any of the other ingredients.
