Description

What is Nasonex nasal spray?

Nasonex nasal spray is a treatment for hay fever (allergic rhinitis), including irritated eyes, sneezing, and a runny nose. It works through the active ingredient mometasone furoate, which is part of the group of medications named corticosteroids.

How does Nasonex nasal spray work?

Nasonex nasal spray works through the active ingredient mometasone furoate, which belongs to the group of medications known as corticosteroids. These are a type of steroid hormones that have anti-inflammatory properties. This helps to manage the symptoms of hay fever.

How should Nasonex nasal spray be taken?

For adults and children over the age of 12 years, the usual dose is two sprays into each nostril once daily. For children aged 3-11 years, use one spray into each nostril once daily. The full benefit may not be felt until up to 2 days after starting treatment.

Is Nasonex nasal spray suitable for me?

Nasonex nasal spray is suitable for use in children over the age of 3 and adults. Do not use Nasonex nasal spray if you have an untreated infection in the nose, if you have injured the nose recently, or have recently had an operation on your nose.
