Description

What is Xenicol 120mg

Xenicol is for assisting with weight loss in adults with a BMI of over 30. It works to reduce the amounts of fat absorbed by your body when you eat through its active ingredient of orlistat. Xenicol should be taken alongside changes in diet and exercise.

How does Xenicol 120mg work?

Xenicol works through the active ingredient of orlistat. Orlistat works to bind to the enzymes in your stomach that are used for the breaking down of fats. This blocks the enzymes from digesting approximately ⅓ of the fat in the meal that has been eaten. This fat then passes through your system and is expelled instead of being absorbed.

How should Xenicol 120mg be taken?

Xenicol 120mg should be taken three times a day, before, during, or up to 1 hour after meals. They must be swallowed whole with water. Taking Xenicol must be combined with adopting a healthy diet and exercise regime. It is important to also start taking vitamin supplements (vitamins A, D, A, and K) on a daily basis, preferably in the evening, as the medication makes it harder for your body to absorb the necessary vitamins.

Is Xenicol 120mg suitable for me?

Xenicol 120mg is purposed for adults who have a BMI of over 30, or those who are suffering from conditions such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart disease, or diabetes. You must not take this medication if you are of a healthy weight, if you are pregnant, or if you are breastfeeding. You should not administer Xenicol to anyone under the age of 18.

Side effects

Like all medicines, Xenical can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist as soon as possible if you do not feel well while you are taking Xenical.
The majority of unwanted effects related to the use of Xenical result from its local action in your
digestive system. These symptoms are generally mild, occur at the beginning of treatment and are
particularly experienced after meals containing high levels of fat. Normally, these symptoms disappear
if you continue treatment and keep to your recommended diet.
